1) All puppies are sold in good health, dew claws removed, wormed at least twice and 5 in 1 puppy shot given at 7 weeks of age. You are given an 8 pound bag of Purina One Large Breed Puppy food the puppies are on to make the transition to your dog food of choice less stressful. You will be given basic information on the care and feeding of young puppies to assist you.
2) If the puppy has passed a basic obedience class within one year of age, we will reimburse the owner up to $25.00 for the investment in the dog’s good behavior. You must send a copy of the certificate of completion before the puppy’s one year birthday.
3) All Sundancer puppies are sold on an AKC limited registration. We will reimburse up to $ 50.00 per puppy to have them spayed or neutered. We will need a written document on the veterinarian’s letterhead detailing the procedure, along with the microchip number, and his/her registered name at AKC. The paperwork must be postmarked no later than 360 days after date of birth of your puppy.
4) Initial purchase: buyer is required to have the dog examined by a veterinarian within seven days of receipt of puppy. If the veterinarian feels that the dog in question is unable to fulfill the intended uses for which it was purchased, the puppy must be returned with written documentation from the veterinarian for full refund or replacement. At the time of the examination, the buyer must make contact with the veterinarian to complete shot cycle and establish a parasite prevention program, including heartworm medication. If the puppy develops symptoms of canine distemper, canine parvo virus, infectious hepatitis, or leptospirosis within ten days from the date of purchase and the buyer presents a statement from his/her veterinarian indicating that the infection was contracted prior to the sale date, an amount not to exceed the cash purchase price will be paid by the seller for the expense of treating the disease, or the puppy may be returned for a complete refund within three days of the exam at the owner’s expense.
5) Your puppy is guaranteed to be in good health, free of hip Dysplasia, congenital defects causing physical disabling or death and hereditary blinding eye defect until the pup is 30 months of age.
Hereditary Eye Defects: this covers blinding eye defects; this guarantee is good for 30 months. A certified Canine Ophthalmologist certificate is required along with full medical history from date of purchase to present.
Hereditary Hip Dysplasia Guarantee: within six (6) months of this pup’s second birth date (30 months of age). The x-rays must be taken in accordance with the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals, Inc. (OFA) procedures and submitted to the OFA for certification all at owner’s expense. This covers all grades of Hip Dysplasia, with symptoms affecting said dog that requires surgery. The OFA shall be the sole judge regarding hip dysplasia. The buyer has a couple of options if the dog has a congenital defect. If the dog does need to be laid to rest because severity of the defect, the buyer may choose to receive a refund up to the purchase price of the puppy or a replacement puppy of the same value. If the buyer chooses to keep the dog and keep up with the condition, the dog must be spayed or neutered. The seller will refund one half the purchase price of the dog. The buyer would be responsible for the costs of care for the dog.
6) Purchaser agrees to assume all responsibility and costs related to upbringing, personality development and training of the above described puppy. Seller will not be responsible for any medical and or surgical services during the tenure of this guarantee. Note the importance of environment and diet in relation to the growth of a young dog. The dog will be given proper nutrition, adequate exercise and necessary grooming. Do not over feed and/or over exercise (running on hard pavement) and avoid slippery flooring, stairs and jumping from heights (truck tailgates, veterinarian tables) when possible.
7) If for some reason the puppy/adult should be in need of a home at any time in their lifetime, the owner must notify and return the puppy/adult to the seller as the seller will find a new home for the puppy/adult.
8) The buyer agrees to notify the seller of any titles completed as determined by AKC, UKC, CKC, APLA, GRCA, NAVHDA, NAHRA or other international registries.
9) The buyer agrees to use the name “Sundancer” as the first part of the legal name on the AKC paperwork.
10) The deposit to reserve a puppy is $250.00. The deposit is non refundable if the buyer can not fulfill the terms in this contract. Puppies will be reserved on a first come, first serve basis. It is based on deposit receipt and not on indication of interest. Picks will begin at 6-7 weeks of age. We require the puppy be paid for in full at the 8th week. Puppies may be picked up in person after the 8th week. If we are shipping the puppy to you the puppy must be 10 weeks old before it can be sent. If you are unable to pick up your puppy until after week 9, we offer extending boarding for $35.00 dollars per week plus vet fees. We will continue to train the puppy, i.e. crate and house training, as well as walking on a leash and other basic obedience.
11) The above-described puppy is warranted to the original owner or owners only. Transfer of ownership nullifies and voids this warrantee. It is understood that the above warranties are expressly regarding congenital and hereditary defects. Any physical injury to the dog voids this guarantee.
